Abstract

ABSTRACT DESIGN SYSTEM OF TALEMPONG TONE FREQUENCY ANALYZER USING FAST FOURIER TRANSFORM METHOD By : RendyAlfuadi 0910452088 The purpose of this research is to implement a system which can measure a tone frequency at talempong instrument using microcontroller Arduino. Implemented system consists of two main components: Microphone circuit and Arduino‟s system circuit. The implemented system uses Fast Fourier Transform to calculate the frequency of sampled signal. Algorithm of Fast Fourier Transform Method has been successfully implemented at microcontroller Arduino Due. Tones which have been tested by system are A4 and A5. Sampling frequency is crucial in sampling a tone wave. Sampling frequency used in this system is 640 Hz. System can accurately measure tones which frequency is under the sampling frequency, but not if the tone‟s frequency is above sampling frequency. A high sampling frequency requires a lot of memory for processing algorithms. Keyword: Talempong, Fast Fourier Transform, Arduino Due, Condenser mic
