Abstract

Abstract Preserve of Rimbo Panti functioning as pickling area of various plant, animal, protection area, prop of life system and also research place and education. Pursuant to result of research of Asmin (2004) in Preserve of Rimbo Panti, that is forest trouble potency in this time estimated to reach 970 ha and in 25 year more trouble potency there is still equal to 521 ha. It is describle that Preserve of Rimbo Panti will be threatened progressively if this problems do not overcome early on. In concervation area management, understanding of society around preserve about continuation of area it is important to know so that executed policy later as accor-ding to situation of field. Target of research are to know and analyse how percep-tion of society and factors influend that perception. This research is conducted at Jorong which abut on direct with preserve they are Jorong Murni Panti, Jorong Petok and Jorong Lundar on January until March 2007. Research conducted with survey approach, data collecting method containts primary data and sekunder. Analysis data for the measurement of per-ception of society conducted with qualitatif descriptive method and factors influence perception with quantitative method by using regresi analysis doubled which is continued with F-test (variant analysis) and t-test (analyse parsial). Result of research show that perception of society to Preserve of Rimbo Panti, contains perception of society abaut knowladge, integration, compulsion of involvement of government in management of preserve and continuity of pre-serve. While for factors influenc perception are education factor, work type and responsibility amount.
