Abstract
The hipocratic screening of metltanolic extract of the root of Voacanga cf foetida using modification of Malone - Robichaud method was done on 7 - 9 weeks old male whitJmic., DDY Japan strain. The result shorved parasympatomimetic activity had higher percentage than other. The transit intestinal method showed that this extract increased the peristaltic activity. It was found that at a dosage of 300 mg/kg body weight, the distance was 58,66 % higher than a control. This extract had LD30 537.914 mg/kg of body weight. Key words : Voacanga cf, foetida, hipocratic screening, LD50, transit intestinal metlod.
