Abstract

The aim af this study is to analyze the financial perfurmance of the private banks and mixture banlcs in 2006 trough 2009 with using CAMELS approach. The ratioswas usedconsist of CAR" NPL, ROA, ROE, BOPO and LDR. The study involved eleven private banks and ten mixture banks selected from the Indonesian banking Directory using purposive sampling method. A number of statistical tools were used for data analyses including the data normality test, the Mann-Whitney U test, and the independent t-test. Analysis showed that overall bank performance and test per year in 2008, represented by the variable "performonce" there are significant dffirences between the performance of private banks, ond mixture banks. But viewed in q yearfor years 2006, 2007, and 2009, showed there were no significant diffirences between the performance of private banks, and mixture banks. And seen from the performance of the two banks, the mixture banks has a better performance than the performance of private banks.
