Abstract
A major compound EA-2-1 has been isolated from etil acetat fraction of marine sponge Petrosia nigrans. Isolation and purification of compound were done by chromatography method followed by recrystallization. EA-2-1 was obtained as white needless (17 mg) melted at 119-1200C. Based on data from chemical reaction with Lieberman Bourchard, ultraviolet and infrared spectra suggested the compound is belong to terpenoid group. The result of antibacterial activity test of EA-2-1 showed the activity against Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus epidermidis, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Escherichia coli is low.
