Fakultas Kedokteran Gigi Universitas Andalas Skripsi, September 2014 PUTERI RANTI, 1010343001 Hubungan Kehilangan Gigi dengan Tingkat Keparahan Gangguan Sendi Temporomandibula Disc Displacement with Reduction Pada Lansia Panti Sosial Tresna Werdha Sabai Nan Aluih Sicincin x + 53Halaman + 9 Gambar + 8Tabel + 2 Diagram +7 Lampiran ABSTRAK Sistem stomatognati terdiri dari tiga organ utama yaitu sendi temporomandibula, otot pengunyahan, dan gigi geligi beserta struktur pendukungnya yang berfungsi secara harmonis dan dikoordinasikan oleh system syaraf pusat. Kehilangan gigi dapat menyebabkan perubahan keseimbangan oklusi gigi geligi, yang dapat menyebabkan gangguan pada sendi temporomandibula salah satunya adalah disc displacement with reduction Kehilangan gigi banyak terjadi pada lansia. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan kehilangan gigi dengan tingkat keparahan gangguan sendi temporomandibula disc displacement with reduction pada lansia Panti Sosial Tresna Werdha Sabai Nan Aluih Sicincin. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah observasi analitik dengan desain cross sectional, penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan Juni 2014 bertempat di Panti Sosial Tresna Werdha Sabai Nan Aluih Sicincin. Pemeriksaan Tingkat Keparahan gangguan dengan menggunakan kuesioner Fonseca dengan responden penelitian sebanyak 33 orang. Analisis data menggunakan one way Anova dengan derajat kepercayaan 0,05. Pada penelitian ini didapatkannya jumlah minimal kehilangan gigi pada responden adalah sebanyak 4 gigi dan jumlah maksimal kehilangan gigi adalah sebanyak 29 gigi. Tingkat keparahan ringan menjadi tingkat keparahan yang paling banyak dialami pada responden yaitu sebesar 66,70%. Dari hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa hubungan kehilangan gigi dengan tingkat keparahan gangguan sendi termporomandibula disc displacement with reduction pada lansia Panti Sosial Tresna Werdha Sabai Nan Aluih Sicincin tidak signifikan (p>0,05). Loss of teeth can cause a change in the balance of occlusion of the teeth, which can giveeffect of the temporomandibular joint disc displacement with reduction. Lost of teeth common in the elderly. The purpose of this study were to determine the relationship of tooth loss with the severity disorders of the temporomandibular joint disc displacement with reduction in elderly in Tresna Werdha Sabai Nan Aluih Social Institution Sicincin. The method used in this study is observational analytic cross sectional design, this study was conducted in June 2014 held at Tresna Werdha Sabai Nan Aluih Social InstitutionSicincin. Examination Severity Fonseca disorders using the questionnaire, survey respondents as many as 33 people. Analysis of data was using one-way ANOVA based on 0.05 as significant. The result showed that acquired a minimal amount of tooth loss in total four respondents is the maximum number of teeth and tooth loss is as many as 29 teeth. The light severity into the severity of the most experienced on the respondent in the amount of 66.70%.The conclusion of the study was there is no significant corelation between loss of teeth with the severity level of temporomandibular disorder disc displacement with reduction in elderly in Tresna Werdha Sabai Nan Aluih Sicincin Social Institution (p>0,05).
