Abstract
Maize is one of the strategic commodities in Indonesia that receive special attention to be enhanced due to food security and sovereignty. Utilizing high yielding maize varieties along with sustainable agronomic practices offer an effective strategy for improving maize productivity in acid soils. Ten single cross hybrids derived from a diverse tropical inbred lines and two check varieties were evaluated in two locations with two acid soil conditions in order to obtain hybrids that produce high yield in acid soils. The evaluations were carried out in a randomized complete block design with three replications during 2014 – 2015
