Abstract

The objective of this research are to prove the phenomenon of underpricing in BEI on 2002-2007, and to prove the influence of auditor reputation, underwriter reputation, financial leverage, and Earning Per Share toward underpricing. The data for this research are taken from all companies which go public at BEI during 2002- 2007 . Based on the criteria in collecting the data there were 47 data are found. This conducted based on mean adjusted return to measure underpricing and based on multiple regression to examine the influence of dependent and independent variable. The result of this research showed that there was underpricing occurred in BEI on 2002-2007, and it's related to previous research consistently. The level of underpricing on that period was 37.86. %. Auditor reputation and underwriter reputation significantly correlated to underpricing but this research also prove that there was no significant influence which is given by financial leverage and earning per share.
