Abstract
This Study offers an application af CAMELS Method and Efficiency Method in measuring the performance of the devisen private general banking sector. It explores the health and the efficiency of the devisen private general banking. CAMELS method analysis is used as a proxy the banking health, in this research consist of: CAR as represent of Capital; APB and NPL as represent of Asset; ROA, RoE, and BoPo os rqpresent af Earntng, and LDR as represent af Liquidity. Efficiency method analysis is used as a proxy the banking effieiency, in this research consist of EFF, P/L, NIM RDIBA, ROE, and ROA. Financial data are drawn from Published Bank Financial Statement on The Central Bank's Directory for research period 2006-2008. In this way the purposed model offers an empirical (comparative descriptive) reference set for comparing the devisen private general banking performance with use CAMELS and Efficiency Method. The result indicates that on average the CAMELS method and The Efficiency method have the same result for the devisen private general banking performance ,assumption several ratio in both as used in the same breath, that are ROE, and ROA. And the devisen private general banking performance offer global economic crisis have decreased than two years later that start growing into a good economic. Keyword: CAMELS method, Eficiency Method and the devisen private general banking pedormance.
